I found this vintage comforter (get it, Purple Dreams) at a thrift shop and just couldn't get over how cool the shiny purple was! It kind of reminded me of a psychedelic Hugh Hefner. I added hot pink and neon yellow piping to the edges for even more color. It’s like wearing a blanket, but fashion! Big ol' pockets--can't help but smiling about that.
Will easily fit an XS-XL (meant to be oversized)
28” pit to pit
Ok, yes, this is my second Field Study vintage quilt (comforter?!) coat, but I couldn't resist the shiny purple fabric! It's so cozy and fun. At first I wasn't sure what to wear it with, but then I realized... anything goes! I wear it often - mostly to add a fun punch and elevate my basic t-shirt and jeans days. In extra cold weather I've worn this as a layering piece under bigger fleece jackets, and I even draped a poncho over it once! I definitely see this being my take-everywhere-just-in-case jacket over the summer. (You know, for movie theaters and restaurants and stores with the dreaded over-zealous air conditioning.) I'd say I'm a small-to-extra small size wise, so it is a little big on me, but all the better to layer with! If you're thinking about this one but you're not sure.... just do it!
